The original owner of the piano was the then Dean of Music School at Rice University in Houston, TX, and was purchased new in 1966.  It was his home/personal piano for over 30 years. I am the second owner and purchased the piano in 2002. A professional piano moving company moved the piano from Houston to Austin. The piano's action work was regulated and tuned by a D.M.A. Registered Steinway Technician in 2002. The piano was recently appraised by a Master Piano Builder from Stuttgart, Germany, and valued at $23,000 - $25,000. I have the written appraisal. Includes Steinway matching adjustable bench. The piano is ebony satin, has always resided in our home, is in extremely good condition (see photos), and well maintained.
