I never got to use it on a recording. I'm just a guitarist who wanted to do some home recording on pro tools but the mic was pretty much just tested out and I've come to the point where I've got to get a new computer very quickly as mine is having problems because its old. I've owned the mic for a few months and bought it brand new. Its still in new condition but I had to list it as "used" because I did take it out of the box and tested it. It will come with the velvet dust pouch, an Avantone SSM shockmount clip (which is an added bonus) with extra bands, the unfilled out warranty card, my original receipt, all manuals/papers, and a sweet royer demo cd sampling some awesome recordings (of all syles) using this mic as well as the royer r-121 mic. This mic is much more versatile than the famous Royer R-121 because it has a built in mic preamp that automatically matches your impedence to achieve optimum performance. You can use any mic preamp and sound great with this mic! You can't do that with the R-121 or most other ribbon mics. Feel free to ask any questions. My "buy it now" is a good deal at $1475.
