Description   This instrument is an original 1956 LES PAUL CUSTOM IN COLLECTOR CLEAN  CONDITION!!!!!!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES THEY WILL TELL THE STORY  This instrument is a extremely rare IN THIS CONDITION.   LES PAUL CUSTOM (1954-57 MFG.) - single sharp cutaway multi-bound mahogany body with carved top, 13 in. wide, 17.25 in. long and 2 in. deep, 24.75 in. scale, raised bound black pickguard, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlay, "Les Paul Custom" engraved on truss rod cover, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, multi-bound peghead with pearl split diamond/logo inlay, 3-per-side Deluxe Kluson tuners with plastic single ring buttons, gold hardware, 2 single coil pickups with plastic covers (neck pickup has oblong polepieces, bridge pickup has round polepieces, 2 volume/2 tone controls,  3-position switch,   The neck is set correct MINOR SMILE CRACK  IN THE HEADSTOCK FIXED YEARS AGO AND BARELY VISIBLE UNLESS A BLACK LIGHT IS USED AND ACTION IS LOW AND FAST. NEW STRINGS AND SETUP AND INTONED.  THESE ORIGINAL SINGLE COIL PICKUPS ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!!  The neck itself is straight with almost no wear on the back and the truss rod operates well. The truss rod cover is original . The headstock has the CORRECT Gibson CUSTOM pearl logo. The electronics are untouched and has the original capacitors. Oxidation on the electronics is at a minimum, probably due to being stored in the case and rarely played for about twenty years.  Take a look at this rare opportunity to own a piece of Rock N Roll History. The instrument as a whole is all original EXCEPT FOR THE SPEED KNOBS WHICH  I WOULD DATE TO THE EARLY 60'S  in  excellent condition. It possesses great playability with minimal fret wear. The tone is exceptional with some growling mids, tight lows, and harmonically rich highs. The guitar has the original 4 latch "California Girl" wooden brown case. The case is in INCREDIBLE shape.
