Description
1945 MARTIN 000-28 - Professional Playing SetUp YOU ARE BIDDING ON A MARTIN GUITARFEATURES INCLUDE: MAGIC SOUNDING- ADIRONDACK TOP & BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD Back / Sides NEW JOHN ARNOLD NECK-SET, FRETS & ACTION SET-UP HERRINGBONE TRIM-ORIGINAL TUNERS GEORGE GRUHN APPRAISAL SERIAL NUMBER 92367 This is a very nice 1945 Martin 000-28 with new correct Martin case. I just purchased this from the top Flat-top picker and yes He wants it back. This guitar is in need of nothing; just play it. 1945 is the last year for Adarondak Spruce in the older Martin Guitars. GRUHN GUITAR APPRAISAL Reads: "I have personally inspected this instrument (a 1945 Martin style 000-28) serial #92367 This guitar shows significant playing wear, but it is set up in excellent playing condition. John Arnold of Newport, Tennessee repaired the side, replaced a segment of binding and herringbone on the top, touched up around the bridge, reset the neck, installed a new saddle (Ivory), refretted the fingerboard, installed a new nut (Ivory) and repaired cracks. In other respects it conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with 15" wide body, Adirondack spruce top with herringbone edge trim and non-scalloped bracing, well figured Brazilian rosewood back, sides, and peghead veneer, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, dot fingerboard position markers, CF Martin peghead decal logo, nitrocellulose tortoiseshell grain pickguard, white ivoroid binding on the top and back edges of the body, and typical wartime style nickel plated tuners with white oval style plastic buttons Contact me with any questions at rolandmarvin@bellsouth.net or call (615)360-8881 anytime I try to describe my items as accurately as possible but please ask questions before bidding.Free Shipping to Lower 48, All Other Buyers to pay shipping and insurance..
