Description
Well, here we go again! This will be the third time I have had this up for bids on ebay. And now that I've reduced the asking price (yet again today 12-5-08) an opening bid would be way less than half of what I have invested in the piano. My loss, could be your gain! Hopefully the third times the charm!   What I'm offering is my 1916 Steinway Duo-Art Upright Player Piano, serial number 166947, with it's original "steamboat" pump.  The following list contains everything that Roger Puls of Parma, Ohio, did to the piano back in 2001. Buff and polish hardware Rebuild Duo-Art reproduction system complete. Refinish case in natural color Install new case felt and rubber buttons. Plate piano pedals in nickel. Replace missing veneer (ribbon mahogany)   Piano work:   Install new hammers and dampers Install new bass strings - tune and voice same, Regulate piano action Go over key tops   Since the work was done and the piano returned to me, there have been less than 150 rolls played on this wonderful old instrument.     You can also switch off the Duo-Art and use it as a Metrostyle-Themodist-Temponamic piano, using the pointer and the controls, for those of you who like to "play" their piano.   I will be more than happy to assist with any shipping arrangements that you, the buyer makes......but I won't personally do the shipping. You can always come and pick it up, I've got a strong back and would be glad to help, if that is the case. The piano is in the front room on the first floor, which makes for a very easy and convenient move. (Truck can back right up to the front porch)   I also have 2 roll cabinets (pictured above beside the piano)  that could be purchased reasonably, if your interested.( I will entertain offers, so don't be shy.....they need to go too!)  Since some of you have asked, here are the descriptions: The smaller one that is on the left in the pictures is red ribbon mahogany, 38.5" high, 18" wide, 16" deep with 8 shelves will hold 40 large rolls. Second one (on right in pictures) is a browner tone in color (not mahogany-stained poplar, maybe) and is 45" high, 22" wide, and 16" deep. It has 10 shelves which will hold 70 large or 80+ small rolls. It has a decal on the inside of the door "Herzog Art Furniture Co. Saginaw, MI USA" I don't have a key for this one and the door, although it doesn't appear warped sets in a little further on the top left than the bottom left does when closed. Not bad, maybe 1/4" These two you could move  right in, wipe off, and fill with rolls, nothing wrong with the finishes, at least to my eye.  I'm in snowy northeastern Ohio, and don't have any idea about shipping costs,(or purchasers preferred method) but I'll be willing to work with anyone interested Thanks for looking.....and Good Luck!
